The temir komuz is a Kyrgyz jaw harp and is made from iron. It is a subtle instrument made of iron which is popular among the Kyrgyz and other Turkic people living in Central Asia. Archaeological discoveries date back variants of the temir komuz to 6000 BCE. The instrument can play up to an octave span, is popular amongst children and varies in size from 10 to 20cm.
